Thanksgiving Day Race director looking forward to 115th year of Cincinnati tradition
Julie Isphording has been running all her life, and it makes sense she was the one chosen to run one of Cincinnati's most famous Thanksgiving traditions.
The Thanksgiving Day Race will return this year for its 115th edition in the Queen City, making it one of the oldest Turkey Trots in the nation.
Isphording, a former Olympian who is now the event's bubbly and spirited lead director, is running the show once again.

The Mount Lookout native – and current resident of Columbia Tusculum – has worked tirelessly to give the race exciting upgrades while maintaining its traditional appeal, a key element to this popular Thanksgiving day pastime.
"We didn't want to make it just a run.
We really wanted to make the family tradition idea come alive more and we want people to forget they're exercising," Isphording said. "We always say that it's one of those races you don't have to be in a hurry to finish.
